Magnus Carlsen and Fabiano Caruana today play their first match since their 2018 World Championship clash as Fabi gets another chance to show he can compete at rapid chess after losing the playoff 3:0 in London. The other match-up is barely less interesting, with 16-year-old Alireza Firouzja, who finished second in the 2019 World Rapid Championship, facing Hikaru Nakamura, who finished third.
