Dubov wins the Lindores Abbey Rapid Challenge

Daniil Dubov has beaten Hikaru Nakamura in Armageddon to win the 2020 Lindores Abbey Rapid Challenge, claiming not just the $45,000 top prize but also a place alongside Magnus in the $300,000 Magnus Carlsen Chess Tour Grand Final. After losing on the first day of the final the Russian grandmaster hit back on Day 2 and then took the lead in Game 2 of the final day. Hikaru Nakamura bounced back in the next game but then fell into a trap on move 12 of the decisive Armageddon game.
